CINEMATOGRAPHY

The screening of the film “Dante” by Pupi Avati took place at the Taiwan Cement Corporation (TCC) auditorium on January 16th.

The film traces the life of Dante Alighieri, whose 700th death anniversary was marked in 2021.

On the anniversary of the Russian aggression of Ukraine at the Eslite bookstore auditorium in Xinyi.

As part of the Europe Festival at the Huashan Creative Park.

On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the establishment of the Italian Republic at the Eslite Performance Hall in Taipei.

Concert by the Subconscious Trio at the Wenshui Arts and Culture Center in Taipei.

The Italian opera ensemble “Duo Alterno” composed by pianist Riccardo Piacentini and soprano Tiziana Scandaletti performed at the Hwai-Jen Auditorium, Fu Jen University.
Duo Alterno, who both teach at the Milan Conservatory, will present the program “Animal Tales and songs” with music by Alfredo Casella, Gioachino Rossini, Ada Gentile, Erik Satie, Francis Poulenc, Cathy Berberian and Riccardo Piacentini himself.

Exhibition of young Italian illustrators in the Italian pavilion at the Taipei International Book Exhibition.

  • 2023 Italian Design Day (March 23rd – April 5th, 2023)

At the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei, in collaboration with the Industrial Design Association and the Taiwan Design Research Institute. Calendar of meetings of Italian and Taiwanese designers on current trends in industrial design in the medical, sports and mechanical industries. Exhibition of Italian products awarded with the Compasso d’Oro.

As part of the celebrations for Europe Day at the National Taiwan University.

From 15 September to 15 October 2023, the exhibition “Italian Excellence: illustrations for Italo Calvino” dedicated to the great Italian writer whose centenary of birth occurs this year took place at the Art Space gallery in Taipei.

On October 15, the anniversary of Calvino’s birth, the journalist-writer Filippo Lubrano gave a lecture on the theme “Calvino and Artificial Intelligence”.

As part of Italian National Space Day, an exhibition of satellite images was displayed at the headquarters of the semiconductor company StMicroelectronics in the Hsinchu Science Park.

In the framework of the XXIII Week of Italian Language and Culture, the lecture “Calvino and Artificial Intelligence” by Filippo Lubrano at the Art Space.

 

 2022

MUSIC

  •  Italian pop: concert (May 8th, 2022)

On the occasion of the Europe Festival (May 8th) musical performance by the Trieste actor and singer Giovanni Voneki who has enjoyed success in Taiwan since 2014, bringing Italian and Taiwanese pop closer together.

The opera duo composed of Maestro Maurizio Colacicchi and soprano Emanuela Barazia performed on October 26th at the National University of Arts in Taipei with the musical program “Homage to Renata Tebaldi”.

 

VISUAL ARTS

On the occasion of the Contemporary Day, in collaboration with the Chen’s Art Gallery in Taipei, an exhibition by the street artist Marco Barbieri.

At Lin Gallery (Hsinchu: December 2022) and Taipei International Book Exhibition (January 2023). Exhibition produced by the Bologna Children’s Book Fair with the MAECI dedicated to young Italian illustrators.

 

ITALIAN LANGUAGE

In the framework of the XXII Week of Italian Language and Culture, lectures by the author Grazia Gotti at the National Taiwan University and the Fu Jen Catholic University.

2021

MUSIC

  • Italian pop: concert (May 8th, 2021)

On the occasion of the European Festival (8 May) musical performance by the Italian singing duo “Il mito”.

 

VISUAL ARTS

The exhibition, in a virtual format optimized for use on portable devices, was created in collaboration with Comicon and the Taipei International Book Exhibition, the main Taiwanese publishing fair, and presented some of the main Italian designers inspired by the Japanese graphic tradition.

On the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri’s death, Drawing Dante exhibited the interpretations of about twenty cartoonists of Dante’s work. The exhibition, in virtual format optimized for use on portable devices, was created in collaboration with Comicon and the Taipei International Book Exhibition.

At the Chen’s Art Gallery in Taipei, exhibition of works by the artist Giancarlo Tognoni, exponent of the Italian abstract school.

 

CINEMATOGRAPHY

In the framework of the 28th edition of the “Women making waves” festival, which has been addressing the issues of gender diversity since 1993, retrospectives dedicated to Italian female cinematography were held (nine films by Italian documentary filmmaker Cecilia Mangini; one feature film by Liliana Cavani).

On the occasion of the Yilan International Art Festival (October 15 -18) musical performance by the Italian singing duo “Il mito”.

 

VISUAL ARTS

In 2020 was celebrated the centenary of the birth of Gianni Rodari, born on 23 October 1920. Rodari was one of the most innovative voices in Italian literature of the last century. The exhibition, in a virtual format optimized for use on portable devices, was created in collaboration with the Emilia-Romagna Region, the Bologna Children’s Book Fair and the Taipei International Book Exhibition.

As part of the 5th Week of Italian Cuisine, at the GMT Italian restaurant in Grand Mayfull (July 31st – August 9th) and Taipei City Hall (November 30th – December 3rd). Exhibition produced by this Office, to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Pellegrino Artusi, father of Italian cuisine.

 

CINEMATOGRAPHY

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Federico Fellini’s birth, in collaboration with the Golden Horse Film Festival, retrospectives dedicated to the Italian director Federico Fellini were held (Golden Horse Classic Film Festival: Fellini 100) and an exhibition “Food in Federico’s drawings Felini”, created thanks to the Emilia-Romagna Region Culture Department.
