The images of Venice plagued by high water have aroused deep emotion also in Taiwan. Taiwan has a special connection with the lagoon city, having been participating in the Venice Biennale since 1995.
Following the disaster, a solidarity campaign was activated in Italy and abroad to support urgent interventions to protect the severely damaged cultural heritage.
The City of Venice in particular has activated a bank account on which it is possible to make donations.
