Since last June the holders of Taiwanese passports in transit thorugh the main Italian airports can take advantage of the electronic gates.
Taiwan is the eighth non-EU jurisdiction to benefit from this facility.
On the basis of reciprocity, from September 2019 Italian citizens arriving at Taiwan’s international airports and seaports can also use the existing e-gates.
