When applying for a Schengen visa there is a non-refundable mandatory visa fee which every applicant must pay to the Consulate when submitting application. Schengen visa fees vary depending on the type of visa and age of the applicant, as well as other exceptions indicated below. The Schengen visa fee can be paid cash in TWD only.

Schengen visa fees include a visa fee and a service fee. Should the visa be denied, the money paid at the time of application will not be refunded.


Regular fee (in Euro)

  • Airport transit visa € 60.00
  • Short stay Schengen visa (90 days or less) € 60.00
  • Long stay visa (91 days or more) € 116.00
  • Long stay visa for study purposes (91 days or more) € 50


Visa fee is 35 € for:

  • Children between the age of 6 and 12
  • Nationals from Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Moldavia, Russian Federation, Serbia and Ukraine.


There is no visa fee for:

  • Children under 6 years of age
  • Students, postgraduates and accompanying teachers who are travelling for study purposes or educational training for 90 days or less
  • Researchers of third-world countries travelling for the purpose of scientific research up to 90 days
  • Representatives of non-profit organizations aged 25 or under participating in seminars, conferences, sports, cultural or educational events organized by non-profit organizations

Rush and emergency fees are not contemplated in processing a Schengen visa.
